The King Speaks is running their very first contest and are giving away a pretty decent $20 as the prize. The contest post just says “give me your best pick up lines”. I don’t have the wildest idea of what a “pick-up line” is. You’ll have to make a post on your blog mentioning your pick-up line and linking back to The King Speaks. All the contest entries will win a backlink from him. But, only the best entry is gonna win the 20 bucks.

Also, he requires atleast 30 to enter for the contest to run. I know that it is difficult to run a contest and giving away money without achieving expected results. But, such rules may sometimes turn off the participants. Anyway, check out the contest post for more info.

The entire blogosphere is speculating about two issues. One is the WidgetBucks issue and the other is the PageRank Slam issue. Looks like Darren and others at Problogger are up for some fun even with the tension at its peak (am i exaggerating a bit :D). There is quick competition over there and the prize is a 3 month subscription to Brian’s Teaching Sells program worth $97. The rules are simple :

Pic.gs is running their first contest and are giving away $5 to one person everyday from October 25th to October 31st. All you have to do is go to Pic.gs and tag images. Tag as many images as possible. The more you tag the more are your chances of winning. This surely sounds like an interesting contest. But, the prize money is low. It goes even lower after Paypal takes its commission.

However, they have another prize too. They say “I’m also giving away another $20 if we reach a few goals before November 1st.”. Their goals are 3200 Images, 1000 tags and 2,000,000 views. I wish them all the best with these goals.

Note to Pic.gs : On your site homepage, under the “Some of the more popular images:” section, you have a Google Adsense Image ad hidden. This is against Google’s Program Policy. Remove it or you might get banned.

This is really a big prize for a site that is launching. To enter the contest for the MacBook, you’ll have to register by going here. The entry instructions are not very clear. But, from what i understand, you’ll have to register over there and they will send you an email that contains a link to the contest entry page.

If you ask me, this doesn’t really seem good for me. They want you to submit your email id just to see the contest entry page. Surely, there seems to be come catch behind it. It might be a way to get email addresses or whatever… But, i don’t know for sure. I suggest you to stay away from this.
