We all know about Group Writing Contests. But, Online Tech Tips have done a slight twist on it and are calling it a Group Reviewing Contest. Thats very innovative. Let me come directly to the point. It is 90% the same as any group writing contest. But, just that the posts have to be reviews of specified sites. It could have been better, if it was a single site. But, the bloggers are given an option to select from a list of sites. Read more about the contest.

The prizes are great.

• 1st Prize : A Paid review on JohnChow.com worth $400. As i have already specified in some post before, this is a prize that i would die for.

Simple Moroccan is running its first contest and are giving away three prizes each worth $50 cash. I’ll really have to appreciate them. The blog is really a good one and does very nice job in teaching Moroccan. To enter the contest, you should have been a follower of their blog. Because the entry requirement is that you should write a post containing anyone of the text : Babbôr, qrzâz, farâsha, wîlî, and khnôna. Also “the words need to be used in a logical way, don’t just string them in together”.

Geeks Are Sexy are running an exciting “How To” contest and are giving away more about $1300 in prizes to six winners. This is more of a bait than a contest. What you must do is write a “How To” post. This is normal for a Group Writing contest. But, they want the post to published on their blog rather on yours. This sucks though they have about 2500 RSS subscribers. They stress that your article “must not be published on your site“.The contest runs for one month and the winner will be announced in the first week of November. Now, that means one month of “content” for their blog.

Traveling Stories Magazine have come up with an innovative contest to motivate the travelers to write their stories. All you have to do is write up an interesting “Travel Story”. It can be imagination or your own experience. Then, send in your entry to tsmeditor@gmail.com. For more rules, visit the contest page.

Then, the stories will be put to reader voting. The story with most votes wins the prize. The prize is $125 cash paid through paypal and also a Featured link on Traveling Stories Magazine. As an add bonus, all submissions will be eligible for publication in the quarterly hardcopy version of TSM scheduled for January 2008.

This is very nice contest. Kudos to Blogging with Cents for thinking out of the box and coming up with such a different contest.
